Who is this course for?
The "Momo" course is suitable for you if you already have some experience in making dolls and now want to reach the next level, or if you are a beginner but are good at sewing and have good manual skills.
However, I explain each step in the course as if you are doing it for the first time and do not assume anything.
However, it is helpful to have already done some of the steps in order to get a good result.
The course is divided into two parts and therefore two levels of difficulty:
You can start with the basic course "Momo". In it you will learn how to make a doll with a movable head and disc joints on the shoulder and hip joints. The arms and legs are stuffed with wool in this course.
In the additional course you will learn how to model arms and legs out of wool, which are movable at the elbows, wrists, knees, ankles and fingers. That's the second stage.
What do you learn in the basic course "Momo"?
- everything about materials, tools & sources of supply
- every single step up to the finished doll
- modeling an expressive face with an open mouth
- the modeling of a stable torso
- how to attach a head that rotates and moves up and down
- insert disc joints in shoulders and hips
- making all the typical details of yayapan dolls: ears, fingers, toes, bottom, nave
- making a wig out of loose sheep or goat hair
- BONUS: sewing pattern & instructions for the balloon pants "Momo"
What do you learn in the additional course?
What do you learn in the additional course?
- create a stable framework for arms, legs & fingers that allows for flexion of the joints (and is firm between the joints so that no unnatural contortions are possible)
- model legs, arms & fingers realistically out of wool
- obtain modeled limbs
The additional course "Arms & Legs" can be integrated into the basic course "Momo" so that at the end you get a finished doll with movable joints.
